I thought some of you might be interested in my process for designing my Xmas postage stamp washi tape. I started out creating rough drawings in Procreate and then decided on a limited color palette and quickly added some color on my drawings so I could get a feel for how it looked. The reason my drawings are in a block formation is because I was originally going to do a pattern in that format but then decided to use my designs for washi tape.

The second slide shows my process of taking my rough drawing of the cat in a stocking into a new file in Procreate and making my final design. As I mentioned in a previous post, I made each illustration fairly large since I was not sure how I would use them in the future. For example, I might use them individually on a greeting card or as a print.

The last slide is my finished Xmas postage stamp washi tape! You can click on it if you want to order some to decorate your holiday cards and gifts (or hoard it, lol).

It's that time of year to start getting into the holiday spirit! Okay, I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but now that I live in an area that has seasons, I am so excited for the holidays! I created each design for the Xmas washi tape as separate illustrations in Procreate so they are huge files. I did this so I could potentially use them as stand-alone illustrations for greeting cards. I also plan to make them into matte vinyl stickers this week. What other Xmas design ideas would you like to see? I would love more ideas!!

I have been MIA from social media lately but I'm back! I went on vacation to NV and AZ to do an ultra trail race a few weeks ago and since I've been back, I have just had no desire to go on social media. But I have a lot to share with you, I just had to get my mojo back 😛 I will post about my race/vacation soon, I am still going through & editing photos and videos.
