Here is my second jungle animal for @gingiber 's @ Here is my second jungle animal for @gingiber 's @leverageyourart course design briefs. Mr. Crocodile was created in Procreate using some fun texture brushes. What is Mr. Crocodile's first name? ⁣ Mockup 2 is from a @skillshare class by @catcoq that I took on creating mockups in PS.
I completed the first two design briefs for @gingi I completed the first two design briefs for @gingiber 's @leverageyourart course and I thought it would be fun to share each design element separately and then share the pattern and illustration that combines all the elements together at the end. ⁣ I created each of my jungle animals in Procreate individually in case I wanted to use the artwork on other products. First up, is my friendly lion, the king of the jungle. What should his name be? Mockup 2 credit: @creatsy
I purchased some sample canvas tote bags with my A I purchased some sample canvas tote bags with my Apples digital screen print design. 🍎🍏 I think it's an appropriate design for this time of year as I just got notification of an apple festival coming up here in GA and the apple markets are opening up. This will be a fun change from FL where it feels like summer all year round 😆 I know a lot of people don't look forward to fall because that means winter is coming, but I am so excited about it! I love fall and the winters aren't bad here so I don't dread it. I can already feel a coolness in the air and it's supposed to get down to 51° tonight. 🍁🍂

The course is called Character Play taught by @lillarogers @zoe_tucker_design and @rileywilkinson. I have really enjoyed the class. I am now taking @gingiber's @leverageyourart course. What can I say, I am a lifelong student 🤓 Anyone else taking Leverage Your Art this year? I'm really excited about it even though I have 10,000 things going on right now 😆

I was playing around in Illustrator and came up wi I was playing around in Illustrator and came up with this simple retro mod pattern. I'm pretty sure the color combos are endless but I tried out 3 different colorways. Which one do you like best? These will be on @spoonflower soon. I only need to create a few more patterns to have enough to get a sample quilt (for those who don't know, you have to order a sample of each pattern before you can sell it on Spoonflower).⁣ It was another crazy few weeks - I had a severe allergic skin reaction to tinted sunscreen and my mom was in a car accident (she is fine thankfully, just stitches, and her car was totaled) so I hope life settles down a little soon!

This took me a really long time to complete and I ended up hurrying at the end just to get it done! This assignment definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone but I am happy for that. I definitely have a deeper appreciation for children's book illustrators ❤️
